"Accidental Renaissance"

I enjoy creating art from looking at an image. I also am a very sentimental person, so I let this guide me in a new challenge. In the theme of my zine, "The Mind of Taylor Asbury", I painted another memory of mine that I have no image of. My roommate, Michaela, and I, were sick, and more dramatic than the Romanticists. We laughed at our expression of utter despair and recognized the moment of accidental Renaissance we created. This piece is inspired by The Death of Seneca by Jacques-Louis David and Sleeping Endymion by Nicolas-Guy Brenet.
